The Requirement

Schneider Electric constantly works on developing connected technologies and solutions for energy management. The company wanted to create growth opportunities while reducing costs. They were looking for a partner who would be able to meet their requirements of business process management to grow first energy business in India, then later also build Global Shared Services in India. ValeurHR was engaged to support their energy business in and global shared services verticals by providing business process management services that can help them to meet their business objectives aligned with specific KPIs.

The Resolution

  • ValeurHR Studied current Global Shared Services spread, business objectives and a proposed way to build a consolidated GSS.
  • Designed, developed and rolled out manpower planning process along with costing and turned around time to as per requirement as a value-added service
  • Worked with the Global leadership team to identify the location along with costing and turnaround time to set up GSS Center in India. Recommended Tier 2, and from there among options narrowed down on Chandigarh Tri-City in India based on various parameters affecting business goals including cost of manpower, availability of talent for current and future growth, quality of talent and further expansion options for other function lines when first proves successful.
  • Deployed Team of 18 from ValeurHR, and worked with leadership to build team while infrastructure was being ready. ValeurHR’s offices were used to house team temporarily
  • Initial team was set up in record time of one month, and further ramped up to desired number of more than 100 in 4 months
  • Helped to set up new and customize existing HR policies for new GSS. And put Performance management plan and execution to drive desired performance
  • Constantly aligned new hires with company’s goals and put talent development process in place
